Talk and Tour with Housing Expert Miloon Kothari
Social housing expert, and former United Nation Special Rapporteur, Miloon Kothari will host a tour of the Vienna Housing exhibition. Kothari will offer a global and social justice perspective on affordable housing in Vancouver and abroad. Kothari will additionally address progressive public housing initiatives and provide insight into the Vienna public housing model.

Bio:
Miloon Kothari served from 2000 to 2008 as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on adequate housing with the Human Rights Council. He was convenor of the Working Group on Human Rights in India and the UN from 2009 to 2014, an Indian human rights coalition that notably focuses on the Universal Periodic Review.
The Vienna Model: Housing for the 21st Century exhibition, curated by Wolfgang Förster and William Menkins, explores housing in Vienna, Austria, through its portrait of the city’s pathbreaking approach to architecture, urban life, neighborhood revitalization, and the creation of new communities.
