Join the Museum of Vancouver (MOV) Education Team for a rich day of learning, networking, and professional development. Start the day in our latest exhibition, The Work of Repair: Redress and Repatriation at the Museum of Vancouver. Examine how the museum grapples with the work of decolonization and some of these efforts by highlighting three ways the MOV is working towards repair: repatriation, community engagement, and research that reconnects Indigenous belongings to their histories. In small break-out groups, educators explore the exhibition through different themes and inquiry-based questions, followed by a curator-led tour and a facilitated discussion on redress and reconciliation—in the classroom and beyond.

Following a catered lunch, discover the full range of our English and French school programs offerings. Get a hands-on preview of program materials and gain insights into the museum’s educational opportunities for your next field trip. Our newest grades 2-4 school program, That Which Sustains Us, along with the outreach resource kit, Tsleil-Waututh Seasonal Activities, will also be highlighted.
