Vancouver’s identity has been profoundly shaped by generations of migration and the many communities that have made this city their home. The Museum of Vancouver collaborates with people from a wide spectrum of lived experiences to share stories that reflect the richness and complexity of urban life. Through exhibitions and programs, we explore narratives of activism, resilience, belonging and cultural continuity, while also confronting histories of exclusion and injustice. By centering community-led storytelling and fostering dialogue across differences, the Museum supports deeper understanding of the many ways diversity takes shape and the ongoing work toward a more equitable society.
