Free Will Skateboard Paint Workshop

Join us for our first Free Will Skateboard Painting Workshop with  Kirk Robinson, a graduate from Emily Carr University of Arts and Design and an avid skateboarder. We are looking for 10 Indigenous youth participants who are interested in creating a one of a kind painted skateboard to take home. This workshop will guide a process where participants can create a customized art piece on a skateboard deck in a safe and encouraging space.

Workshop outcomes for participants:

· development of drawing and design skills

· brainstorming and collaboration opportunities

· completion of a painted skateboard deck suitable to hang on a wall or set up to be skated.

All materials, lunch and snacks for the workshop will be provided.

To register for the workshop please send an email with your full name and phone number to Jwilson@museumofvancouver.ca

Once we receive your registration, we will send you an email confirmation with a full agenda for the day. On the day of the workshop just wear something that you aren’t afraid to get paint on and join us for a full day of fun and creativity.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
