Artist Tour with Amelia Bauer and Pablo Griff (SOLD OUT)

A walk-through of the exhibition All We Want is More: The Tobias Wong Project with two close friends and collaborators of Tobias Wong. A special opportunity to see  Amelia Bauer (Santa Fe, California) and Pablo Griff (Vancouver, BC) in conversation in the gallery space, presenting the work of Tobias Wong from the perspectives and insights of artists who worked with him. 

Date: Tuesday, March 14, 2023 

Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm  

Tickets: $15 (A service fee, processing fee and GST is also applied to ticket sales)  

Spaces are limited! Register early. Masks are recommended but not required.

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early for the tour. Meeting point will be at the Museum's gift shop.

Amelia Bauer

Amelia Bauer graduated from The Cooper Union in 2001, where she met and began to work with Tobias Wong. Bauer is a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and has exhibited nationally and internationally, at galleries including Invisible Exports, the Bruce High Quality Foundation, Blackball Projects and Capricious in New York, De Soto Gallery and Aran Cravey Gallery in Los Angeles, Flanders Gallery in Raleigh, NC, and Helen Pitt Gallery in Vancouver, BC, Bright Side Gallery in Amsterdam, NE, and RBContemporary in Milan, IT. Her work has been exhibited at institutions including The Walker Art Center, CoCA Seattle, CCA Santa Fe, University of Rhode Island, The Museum of New Mexico, and the National Gallery of Art at the Smithsonian Institution. Her work is in the permanent collections of The Albuquerque Museum and SFMOMA. She currently lives and works in Santa Fe, NM. 

 

Pablo Griff

Pablo Griff is originally from Derby, England.  Raised very English in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Pablo Griff now creates in Vancouver after extensive travelling. Griff treats art as a collaborative endeavour. He has assisted artists Megan Griffiths, Rod Jacobson, Dean MacGregor, and D. Tobias Wong) where he found most of his joy. He also collaborated with Clare Holland, Clark Nicolai and Andrew Power. 

His early works include photography, sculpture, text and conceptual work. He is also a part of the New York-based artist collective FILE (not to be confused with FILE Magazine from General Idea).
