Chief Executive Officer
Mauro brings a wealth of leadership, non-profit and cultural experience to the Museum, having worked in and with the non-profit sector, both nationally and internationally, for more than 20 years.
He joins the Museum from the Italian Cultural Centre where he was Executive Director. Prior to that, Mauro worked at Simon Fraser University as a major gifts fundraiser, and with the Vancouver Foundation, Canada’s largest community foundation, for 12 years where he managed several granting portfolios including, Arts and Culture, Environment, Education, Health, Social Enterprise and Animal Welfare. He has extensive experience in the non-profit sector including six years as the Chair of the Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation, a founding board member of the Small Change Fund, and he currently sits on the board of the Jim Green Foundation.
Mauro holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University, a post-graduate diploma in Renaissance History from the Universita Degli Studi di Firenze, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.

Mike joined the Museum of Vancouver in May 2016 and oversees the Operations and Finance Departments.
With over 15 years’ experience in sales, he specializes in enhancing operational efficiency through customer service.
He has worked for some of Canada’s top brands and has a passion for customer service and operations from diverse working environments.

Director of HR & Visitor Experience
Greg has been with the MOV since 2007, managing the facility rentals, event coordination and visitor services operations.
Prior to his arrival at the MOV, Greg worked for over 15 years as a general manager, producer and operations manager for a number of Vancouver arts organizations.
His particular area of expertise is building teams of people to develop and deliver extraordinary experiences for audiences, artists, and volunteers alike.
Greg joined the MOV leadership team in January, 2014.

Director of Philanthropy & Marketing
Sue Griffin brings passion and commitment to developing long term community partnerships to MOV.
With over 25 years experience in non-profit leadership, Griffin’s philosophy is based on transformation - sharing a common vision, understanding respective goals, demonstrating ROI and ultimately creating strong, bold community pillars.
She was the CEO of the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and has worked in senior positions with numerous national and provincial non profit organizations including Heart & Stroke Foundation BC & Yukon, Children’s Miracle Network, Make A Wish Foundation and Simon Fraser University.

Director of Collections & Exhibitions, Curator of Contemporary Culture
In her work with Canada’s largest civic museum, Viviane seeks to expand the museum’s role as city resource, cultural hub, laboratory and catalyst for learning, social interactions and civic engagement.
She has produced and led several exhibition teams in museums for the past fifteen years while serving on peer review committees with the Canadian Museum Association (CMA) and Canadian Heritage.

Joan Young: chair
Joan is a partner and senior litigator in the Advocacy and Litigation Group at McMillan LLP, one of Canada’s largest law firms. She is the BC Co-Chair, Litigation as well as BC Co-Chair, Administrative & Public Law for McMillan. Known as a highly skilled advocate with over 25 years of trial and appeal experience, Joan’s practice emphasizes complex civil and commercial litigation, class actions, and administrative/regulatory hearings representing a wide range of clients and industries. Joan is a former Legal Advisor to the Office of the Premier, and Special Assistant to the Attorney General. She has significant public sector experience serving on both the policy and legal sides of the Ministry of Attorney General for eight years. Joan is also currently a Director of the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. Joan holds a B.A. (Political Science and English) from the University of British Columbia and a LL.B. from the University of Victoria.
Nigel Bullers: Vice Chair
Nigel joined EasyPark in 2013 as CEO and brings more than two decades of operational, marketing and loss prevention experience in customer service driven companies. Prior to joining EasyPark, Nigel spent 3 years as VP, Operations with Securiguard Services Ltd., Western Canada's leading provider of corporate security through a focus on customer service, customized service for our clients and the community. Also, Nigel spent more than four years in a senior position with Indigo Books and Music, and over 20 years with Viacom in big box retail entertainment where he oversaw the company’s expansion into IMAX facilities, introduction of QSRs and pioneered the multi-plex movie entertainment experience we enjoy today. In addition, lead a JV partner program with Alliance Atlantis Communications with a focus on a membership program, evolved the Alliance Atlantis Cinemas arthouse brand across 3 provinces for entertainment complexes. Nigel has been a Board member of the Museum of Vancouver (MOV) since September of 2015, a member of the DVBIA’s member of the Access and Mobility Committee since 2014 and is currently on the Board of the Canadian Parking Association (CPA) as the west coast representative. When not working, Nigel is also a photographer who has exhibited work in Canada, the U.S. and Europe, and is the recipient of a Spider Award in 2014 and a Tzipac Zebra Award in 2012 for his work in black and white photography.
Eddy Adra: Treasurer & Secretary
Eddy is an Assurance and Accounting senior manager with BDO Canada LLP, the fifth largest accounting firm in the world. He brings with him over ten years of experience in public practice specializing in public sector organizations, not-for-profit organizations and private companies. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) who leads BDO Vancouver’s Information Technology Services Group. Eddy also served on several of other boards including the Canadian Mental Health Association and We Matter.
Mary Lou Gazeley
Mary Lou leads gazeley+gazeley and the G Team with years of experience and an award-winning career in marketing public relations and strategic planning. She brings her enthusiasm for business to the entire strategic planning process for both the private sector and not-for-profit organizations. Mary Lou also brings direct board experience including leadership roles in governance, strategic planning and crisis management to her work with the not-for-profit world. As former co-owner and principal of a globally-affiliated Vancouver-based PR agency, she knows the value of internal and external communications within strategic planning, the importance of risk management, the critical need for crisis communication planning, and the value of executive spokesperson training.
Pamela is the founder and CEO of Zoom Consulting, a Vancouver-based marketing and communications firm that serves both local and global clients across a variety of sectors. Specialties include branding, web content strategy and lead generation. Pam started her career with BC Tel (now Telus) where she was director of advertising and direct marketing during the critical early days of long distance competition. She went on to lead marketing teams in Bell Canada International start-up companies in India, Mexico, and Brazil, responsible for everything from marketing plan creation to product management to subscriber revenue. Pam holds a BA in English from UBC and is an accredited public relations professional.
Ray is the President of the Canadian Club of Vancouver. Also known as Mr. Fireworks, Ray has been making events "light up" for over 30 years. Alongside his son Matthew Greenwood, he sells and organizes fireworks displays, both indoor and outdoor. Leading up to Halloween, Ray runs a family fireworks store including Flashing Light Products and LED flashing accessories for all event with a focus on charity and gala functions. Ray is also a self-described "people connector". He loves getting to know the people in this great city and seeing other people succeed though these connections.
Dr. Bruce Granville Miller
Bruce is a professor of anthropology at the University of British Columbia. He received a BA from Brown University and a PhD from Arizona State University. He's the author of five books on Aboriginal law and politics and served for three years as editor of Culture, the journal of the Canadian Anthropology Association. His long-term fieldwork is with the Coast Salish of British Columbia and Washington State. He is currently studying the use of oral histories of Aboriginal peoples in the courts of Canada, the US, and Brazil. He has served as an expert witness in Canadian and US Aboriginal litigation. He and his wife live with their two sons in Kitsilano.
Linda Morris retired from Vancity in late December 2016. Linda was Senior Vice President of Business Development, Member and Community Engagement at Vancity. Under her leadership, Lindaand her team designed and executed Vancity’s “Make Good Money” branding strategy and developed the industry’s first purpose-built alternative to payday loans: Fair & Fast Loans.
Linda has served as the CEO of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (BC/Yukon), Deputy Minister in the Public AffairsBureau for the Government of British Columbia, Vice President, Communications & Community Engagement for Vancouver Coastal Health, and Director of Public Affairs for the Vancouver Port Authority. Linda holds an MBA from Royal Roads University, an MA in Canadian History from the University of Toronto, and a BA (Honours) in Canadian History from McGill University.
Linda held senior positions with two national museums in Ottawa: The National Science Museum and the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation. She has served as a board member and later Board Chair of the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
Currently, Linda Morris sits on the Board of Reconciliation Canada, a not-for-profit organization that seeks to engage Canadians in dialogue and transformative experiences that revitalize the relationships among Indigenous peoples and all Canadians.
Jill Tipping is President & CEO of BC Tech, an organization dedicated to making BC the best place to grow a Tech Company. For 20 years, BC Tech has provided high impact growth, talent and funding programs as well opportunities for networking and collaboration.
Previously, Jill was VP Operations and CFO with Schneider Electric Solar, the Burnaby-based global supplier of solar power conversion solutions and leading player in BC’s thriving CleanTech sector. She started her career as a director with Deloitte in London, U.K. specializing in technology and growth companies. In 2006, Jill joined Xantrex Technologies as Director of Finance and played a pivotal role in its strategic sale to Schneider Electric.
She holds an MA in Economic History from St. Andrews University and an MSc in Management from Stanford. Jill is a strong advocate of BC's technology sector.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Vancouver and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. In 2014, Jill was nominated for the Association of Women in Finance’s PEAK award for Excellence in the Private Sector.
Mark is active in numerous community and professional organizations. He serves as President of Anxiety BC; he is a director on the board of the Courthouse Libraries Society of BC.
Some notable achievements in his community service includes his instrumental role in raising the public/private monies of nearly $10,000,000 to build the Dr. Peter Centre (world renowned healthcare facility) which provides palliative care to 24 and provides day programming to over 150 individuals with HIV/AIDS. While Chair, Mark stewarded the foundation through the ground-breaking introduction of supervised injection services by staff at the Centre which ultimately helped reshape the law in this area of healthcare in Canada.
During Mark’s leadership of AnxietyBC, fundraising has escalated by $500,000 per annum and the organization is rapidly expanding its reach.
Virginia is a business consultant experienced in micro- and conservation-based finance. She lived in Africa for several years structuring innovative financing programs to scale up the fight against HIV/AIDS. She now helps small businesses and non-profits build their financial, strategic and governance capacity. Virginia serves on the board of Vancity Credit Union (as board chair 2011-14) and other local boards. In 2014, Virginia received the Association of Women in Finance Community Legacy PEAK award. She is certified corporate director (ICD.D) with an MBA from University of Victoria and BA from Boston College. She loves skiing and biking with her family.
Kory is a member of the We Wai Kai Nation (Quadra Island) and is Musgamagw Tsawataineuk and Laich-Kwil-Tach. Both nations are part of the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation, also known as the Kwak’wala speaking people. Kory is the Executive Director, Indigenous Initiatives and Partnerships at BCIT, and the Chair of the National Indigenous Education Committee of Colleges and Institutions Canada and a Global Access to Post-Secondary Education Ambassador. With a Law degree from UBC and over 20 years of experience in post-secondary education, community development, and the legal profession, Kory’s passion lies “in ensuring success for Aboriginal Learners and other multi-barriered learners”. She has a deep commitment to education and has dedicated her working life to ensuring that under-represented learners succeed, both within learning institutions and the larger community.
